What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy was discovered In 1791 by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann a German doctor, who devoted his life to its development. There has been a long history of homoepathic treatment in the United Kingdom, and the Royal Homeopathic Hospital in London is funded under the National Health Service.
Homeopathy works to stimulate the body’s own healing process. It helps a person to strengthen their own healing mechanisms, so that their body’s fully functioning immune system and metabolism can defend itself from any adverse external influences. Homeopathy is based on the age-old principle of “like cures like”. A homeopathic dose of substance which is capable of causing certain symptoms in a healthy individual, can address those same symptoms visiible in a person who is not at peak health.
Homeopathic remedies are purely derived from natural products, they are non addictive, and have been tested on healthy volunteers. So homeopathy is a very safe form of medicine which can benefit any age group, including babies, pregnant women and the elderly.
What will happen during my treatment?
You will sit and talk to the Homeopath for about 1.5 hours initially, so that she can take a complete case history. She will ask about your ailments; medical history; likes and dislikes; sleep patterns, dreams etc. Your Homeopath is well experienced/qualified to ask the right questions to get as good an overall picture as she can of your physical, mental and emotional well-being or imbalances in order to prescribe natural medicines to get you back into balanced health.
